Since 1855, Mount Moriah Cemetery has been a place where thousands of people have been laid to rest and remembered. Preserving these grounds protects their history while ensuring families have a meaningful place to honor their loved ones. Beyond its role as a historic cemetery, Mount Moriah is also a welcoming green space where visitors can walk, explore, and experience nature.

The Friends of Mount Moriah is an entirely volunteer-run organization, with dedicated individuals giving their time, skills, and energy to support our mission. We manage the organization’s operations, coordinate outreach, and work alongside community volunteers who join us in maintaining the grounds, clearing overgrowth, and repairing headstones throughout our 200 acres.

Donations provide the resources needed to keep these efforts moving forward. Your support helps cover the everyday costs of maintaining Mount Moriah, including fuel and upkeep for essential equipment like lawnmowers, trimmers, and chainsaws. Contributions also make larger projects possible, such as masonry repairs and restoring historic buildings on site.
