Mowing Day

August 7, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

High grass on mausoleum hill

Do you have a weed whacker or mower? If so, we need you on Saturday, August 7 from 8 a.m. to noon to help clean-up Mausoleum Hill on the Yeadon side of the cemetery, just off Cobbs Creek. In the summer months our regular volunteers struggle to keep up with grass cutting and Mausoleum Hill could use a trim.

This is not a traditional restoration event, so no hand tools will be available. Bring your mower or weed whacker if you’d like to help out.

The Yeadon side is on Cobbs Creek Parkway and does not have a street address. To get there from the Kingsessing Ave. gate, exit the gate and turn left on Kingsessing. Turn left at the second stoplight on to 60th Street. Make a left on Springfield Ave. At the end of Springfield, turn left on Cobbs Creek Parkway and enter the cemetery on the right just as the road curves. You will turn right into the cemetery, crossing the pedestrian path. There is a yellow swing arm gate just off the roadway. There is fast moving traffic on Cobbs Creek Parkway, so please use caution.
