Daniel Norman Davis

Daniel was probably born in Philadelphia to Charles and Voilea “Ella” Davis. They lived on North 8th Street in the Ludlow neighborhood at the time of the 1950 census, the last census to be released to the public. They also had another son and three daughters.

The only other information comes from public records that show his addresses in the 1990s, either at 1206 Erie Avenue or 3859 North Broad Street. The years Daniel served in the Navy during the Vietnam War are unknown. His obituary shows his mother was still alive at the time of his death, and that he was the victim of a hit and run accident when he was 51 years old.

Other family members surviving him were “three sons, two grandchildren, fiancée Loren, and a host of other relatives and friends.” A service was held at Grace Tabernacle Christian Church, 5122 Greenway Avenue before interment here on July 15.
