Mount Moriah Cemetery Awarded AIA Landmark Building Award

On June 8, 2016, Mount Moriah Cemetery was awarded the prestigious AIA Landmark Building Award for the Gatehouse. This award recognizes structures of architectural or historical significance.

The Romanesque revival Gatehouse was designed by architect Stephen Decatur Button. This iconic structure built in 1855 was the grand entryway to the 200 acre Mount Moriah Cemetery.
