This group cannot exist without the help of many dedicated individuals.
Anyone is welcome to attend any of our events, including restoration days.
If you can’t be at the cemetery in person, here are other ways you can help:
This year we’re participating in Wreaths Across America, the same organization that places wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery. Help us honor those who gave so much and support the Friends of Mount Moriah Cemetery at the same time. Learn more>
We’re seeking individuals to assist with a variety of off-site projects, perfect for those unable to physically join us at the cemetery. There will be upcoming opportunities to assist with digitizing and transcribing cemetery records.
Currently, we are seeking someone to volunteer their time helping us set up a searchable burial database to give researchers the ability to find an individual’s burial location via our website.
If you’re interested in this project, please tell us more about yourself:

Everyone is welcome to attend a restoration event and help us work to reclaim the cemetery one section at a time. No special skills are needed – just come prepared to work!
We generally have basic hand tools available, such as loppers and clippers, but you are welcome to bring your own tools. Gas powered weed wackers are always welcome, too.
See our events calendar for the next clean-up day.
We recommend long pants, sturdy shoes or boots, a hat for sunny days, sunscreen, and bug spray.
Your donation of any amount helps restoration efforts to continue. We greatly appreciate the donations so many have graciously provided for the upkeep of Mount Moriah Cemetery. If you cannot attend a restoration event and would still like to help, donations go a long way to pay for repairs to mowers, new grass-cutting equipment, and fuel.
